Native app: calendar data stays on your devices.

With your permission, Done Cal accesses calendars through Apple EventKit. This can include event titles, times, recurrence, locations, notes, attendees, calendar names and account sources. The app uses these to show and edit your schedule, remember completion, calculate progress and attach Focus to an event.

Calendar content is not sent to Done Cal-operated servers or TelemetryDeck analytics. Checking off and postponing use separate records; creating or editing an event can update your connected calendar. Revoke Calendar access in your device’s Settings at any time. Without access, the app offers a sample day.

Completion, Focus and local progress

Done Cal stores occurrence-specific completion state, update dates, a synchronization device identifier and any original/deferred schedule. Completion records can sync through your private Apple iCloud database when available. No event titles, notes, locations or attendees are added to those CloudKit completion records.

Focus state, history and queued actions support recovery on the device. The current native progress journal, goals and reflections are local; they do not add cross-device sync. Observations record days viewed in the app, not an immutable history of your calendar. Settings such as timing display and the rescheduling lock are stored locally.

Widgets and Apple Watch

App Group and paired-Watch snapshots contain the limited event title, time, colour, completion state, date, entitlement and active Focus information needed for companion views. Titles are normalized and length-limited. Locations, notes, attendees, calendar names and EventKit identifiers are excluded. Apple’s privacy-sensitive display treatment is used where supported.

Apple processes purchases.

Apple handles payment through StoreKit and the App Store. The app receives product and verified transaction status for access, restoration, expiry and revocation. Done Cal does not receive your full payment-card details. Browser accounts do not provide native purchase entitlements or separate billing.

App analytics

When configured, the native app uses TelemetryDeck for activation, feature usage, Focus and purchase outcomes. Signals may contain a pseudonymous installation identifier, app and operating-system version, device category, language, session information and fixed feature categories.

The allowed schema excludes calendar content, event identifiers, occurrence keys, search text, free-form errors, email addresses, names, exact event dates and payment details. Done Cal does not use this information for third-party advertising or cross-company tracking. Retention: the release owner must confirm the TelemetryDeck retention configuration before this policy is published..

Browser accounts and this website

The browser beta and mailing lists are covered by the Done Cal privacy notice. Browser accounts use separate server storage and do not yet share native app completion state.

Notifications and Live Activities

With permission, the app schedules local Focus completion alerts. ActivityKit displays active Focus on supported Lock Screen and Dynamic Island surfaces. The current implementation does not require remote Live Activity push tokens.

Retention and deletion

Local completion, Focus, progress and snapshot data remains until removed by an available app control, app deletion, device erasure or the operating system. Private CloudKit records may remain in your Apple account after app deletion; manage relevant iCloud data through your Apple settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription or erase another device.

Your privacy rights

Where GDPR applies, requested app functionality and purchase support rely on performance of the service agreement; general enquiries and proportionate security rely on legitimate interests, and specific legal duties on legal obligation. Device calendar permission is a technical permission, not a substitute for identifying a lawful basis. The lawful basis and any consent requirements for native analytics must be settled before enabling analytics in a public release.

You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability where applicable, object to legitimate-interest processing, and withdraw any consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Requests are normally free and answered within one month, with up to two further months for complexity or number of requests after notice in the first month. Provider and processing

Aran Labs LLC 8 The Green, Suite A, Dover, Delaware 19901, United States Apple and TelemetryDeck may process data in other countries under their terms and applicable safeguards. Done Cal is a general productivity app and is not directed to children below the local age of consent. Material changes to this policy will be reflected in its review date and, where appropriate, in the app or listing.
